Adopt Me Stray Case Notes: Chihuahua, Tuxedo Cat, and Trading Hub fixes
The official Tux & Shepherd on the Stray Case Notes! post went live on Friday, August 14, 2026. The update adds a daily clue task, two new pets, pet wear, and Trading Hub cleanup.
What changed in the update
The new loop starts with a Mysterious Stranger asking for help. Inspector Shepherd brings in Tux Kitt, and the task is to knock on the stranger's door, collect 6 Bundles of Forks, and turn them in for 75 Bucks. The official notes say you can do it once every in-game day.
The update also introduces two new pets on the Stray Case. Chihuahua hatches from the Basic Egg and Crystal Egg, while Tuxedo Cat is a direct 200 Robux Ultra-Rare.

Trading Hub cleanup
The official notes also include a cleanup pass for the Trading Hub. Canceling or declining an offer is quicker, tablet tooltips behave better, House Edit tooltips show correctly again, and the pop-up text for trade-restricted countries is clearer.
There is also a quality-of-life fix for music behavior during Admin Abuse and 2D Tuesdays, which means the update is not only about new pets. It is a small but useful stability pass for anyone trading while an event is active.
