Adopt Me Tim's Trial Tonics: potion recipes, ingredients, and what to craft first
Tim's Trial Tonics is a temporary potion crafting event. Complete pet needs or Tim's taskboard quests to collect ingredients, then use Tim's cauldron to brew one of 10 potion effects. This is not a pet release, so there are no new pet values or catalog images to add for May 15.
What changed in Tim's Trial Tonics
The May 15 update adds a short potion-crafting loop instead of a new egg or pet shop. The Roblox game listing calls out Tim's Trial Tonics, potion crafting, ingredient drops from needs, and 10 new effects to unlock. Current guide data shows the event running for one week, with temporary ingredients set to disappear on May 22, 2026.
The loop is simple: age and care for pets as usual, check the taskboard for special Tim's Trial Tonics tasks, collect the temporary ingredients, then brew at Tim's cauldron near the hospital bridge area on Adoption Island.

All Tim's Trial Tonics potion recipes
Use this table as the practical recipe sheet. The three ingredient labels below are shortened for readability: Mustache means Is That a Mustache?, Fork means Definitely Not a Fork!, and Sandwich means Tim's Eaten Sandwich.
| Potion | Recipe | Effect | Craft priority |
|---|---|---|---|
| Goofy Potion | 1 Mustache + 2 Forks | Temporarily gives a pet a silly face. | Low - fun cosmetic |
| Secret Talent Potion | 2 Mustaches + 1 Sandwich | Temporarily teaches a pet all of its tricks. | Medium - handy showcase item |
| Polymorph Potion | 7 Mustaches + 7 Sandwiches | Temporarily makes a pet look like a random pet. | Low - expensive novelty |
| Home Potion | 3 Forks + 1 Sandwich | Teleports you to your house's front door. | Medium - useful travel shortcut |
| Future Sight Potion | 5 Mustaches + 1 Fork | Shows what a pet's next needs will be. | High - helps plan aging loops |
| Busy Body Potion | 5 Forks + 2 Sandwiches | Gives a pet a random need. | High - more need completions |
| Choosy Potion | 6 Mustaches + 5 Sandwiches | Gives a pet the food it needs. | Medium - situational convenience |
| Preferred Potion | 7 Forks + 8 Sandwiches | Gives a pet a random need with a preferred item. | Medium - useful, but pricey |
| Bonus Bucks Potion | 6 Mustaches + 5 Forks | Temporarily gives 1.2x Bucks. | High - best if you are grinding cash |
| Bonus Aging Potion | 4 Forks + 3 Sandwiches | Temporarily gives 1.2x aging. | High - best if you are raising pets |
What to craft first
If you are actively aging pets, start with Bonus Aging Potion. It directly supports the normal Adopt Me grind and should matter more than a cosmetic effect while the event is still fresh. If you care more about money, Bonus Bucks Potion is the clean second target because it converts your playtime into extra Bucks.
After those, Future Sight Potion and Busy Body Potion are the most interesting utility crafts because they interact with the needs loop itself. Goofy, Secret Talent, Polymorph, Home, Choosy, and Preferred are still worth testing if you have extra ingredients, but they are not the first place I would spend scarce drops.
Are there new pets or value changes?
No new pets are attached to Tim's Trial Tonics. That means there is no May 15 pet catalog backfill, no new pet page to generate, and no new pet image requirement for this specific update. The calculator value refresh still matters because the broader market moves week to week, but the Tim's Trial Tonics items themselves are temporary potion ingredients rather than tradeable pet entries.
Golden Dandelion treat, Peachick, Peahen, Moonbeam Peacock, salon redesign, soaps, and temporary neckerchief rewards.
Weather-exclusive pet needs, the Super Age-Up Potion, profile saving, countdown bell, and quality-of-life upgrades.
Temporary ingredients, Tim's cauldron, and 10 potion effects for aging, Bucks, needs control, travel, and fun cosmetic changes.
Current event references indicate the temporary ingredient items disappear when the one-week event window closes.
